Welcome to Robertson Racing

Mature performance helps Robertson Racing home at Petit Le Mans

Robertson Racing survived a chaotic 14th annual Petit Le Mans to come home 12th in class and 26th overall as the curtain came down on their 2011 American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron season.

Andrea Robertson, David Murry and Melanie Snow produced a mistake-free display at Road Atlanta aboard the #40 Ford GT in what was perhaps their toughest sportscar outing of the year.

The combination of 50-plus starters, Road Atlanta’s reasonably short 12-turn layout and stifling conditions ensured the trio had their work cut out to maintain concentration throughout the 1000-mile/10-hour race as the gaggle of faster prototypes took few prisoners while lapping slower traffic.

Robertson Racing Petit Le Mans mid-race update

Robertson Racing continue to run strongly at Petit Le Mans as an action-packed final round of this season’s American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron enters its second half.

Competing at their home circuit, the Braselton-based outfit’s #40 Ford GT has successfully negotiated the opening four-and-a-half hours of the 1000-mile/10-hour sportscar classic at Road Atlanta despite being the innocent victim of numerous on-track clashes. The team currently occupies a strong 12th place in the GT class with Melanie Snow now at the wheel.

After failing to set a qualifying time due to damage sustained in final practice, David Murry wasted little time making light work of the GTC contingent in the opening stages before also breaking into the GT class top-ten during the several caution periods that have interrupted this year’s race.

Co-driver and team co-owner Andrea Robertson continued that good work during her stint to keep the car in top-ten contention before handing over to Snow.

Robertson Racing primed for Road Atlanta homecoming

Robertson Racing will be hoping to make home advantage count at Road Atlanta this weekend (October 1) as the American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron pitches camp but a stone’s throw from their Braselton headquarters for the final round of this season’s championship.

The classic 1000-mile/10-hour Petit Le Mans event is one of North America’s most prestigious sportscar races, as evidenced by the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup sharing the round in 2011. That ensures the world’s best GT contenders will be out in force to take on the local independent outfit..

This year sees one of the team’s self-developed Ford GTs (#40) entered for Andrea Robertson and David Murry with whom the team scored a famous Le Mans 24 Hours podium finish earlier this season, as well as experienced GT driver Melanie Snow.
